Before You Visit

There are a few things that we would like you to know before attending the facility. There are facility rules posted within the facility but feel it would be helpful to share some pertinent ones with you before your first visit:

  • Lifeguards are on duty to ensure you have a safe and fun experience. This includes enforcing the rules. Please respect the guards as they are looking out for everyone’s safety and best interest in the pool.
  • All patrons must shower before entering the pool (everytime) – showering with soap and water before entering the pool reduces your exposure to pool chemicals as we will need to use less chemicals to balance the water chemistry.
  • Swim diapers must be worn by young children. They will be available for purchase at the front desk.
  • There is no diving allowed in the pools – the deepest part of the Lap Pool is 8ft.
Only shallow entry diving will be permitted during a swim lesson (if required) and competitive swimming as part of a Swim Club or Swim Meet.

Aquatic Admission Criteria

The YMCA is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience. The following aquatic admission criteria allow us to meet both provincial and industry regulations and standards.
