Project Description

My story is typical, got busy after becoming a mother, and slowly packed on the pounds. Attempted over the years many different ways of losing weight, from diets to machines at home, swimming, and walking with friends. It wasn’t until my doctor diagnosed me with high blood pressure at 30 years old that I began to that think about getting healthy. Someone had mentioned that the Y had great rates and a REC Room. I looked into it, signed up myself and my two kids and have been accessing for about a year steady now. In the beginning, it was more for my health, as time progressed it became about teaching my daughter to enjoy exercise and to get my son active while making new friends rather than spending time on a PlayStation or computer. It was originally for me, but now it’s for all of us.
