Volunteering

The YMCA values its history of partnering with volunteers. There are many benefits of volunteering including learning new skills, sharing your knowledge and expertise, meeting new people, finding a place to belong and making new friends all while helping your community improve its overall health. All volunteers receive training to ensure safe and efficient operations in our child care, health services, camp, youth and health and fitness programs. As a YMCA volunteer, you can make a difference as part of a community of people that help individuals and our community succeed. You are an essential part of an organization that delivers lasting personal and social change for you, your family, your community and communities across Canada. You will be a critical part of an effective and leading international charity with strong values and a mission to build healthy communities through programs and advocacy. We offer a wide range of opportunities to match your passion, skills, and availability. You might lead an exercise class, mentor young people, fundraise, produce a special event or get involved with local issues. No matter what you do, you’ll make a positive impact on the lives of people in your community. The YMCA has a variety of rewarding volunteer opportunities available.
